About Marissa Mastrocola, LSW

Marissa is currently a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) at Embracing Uncertainty, working towards receiving her LCSW. She has been working in the mental health field since 2017, after receiving her master's degree in Psychological Services from Kean University and later completed her master's degree in Social Work from Rutgers University in 2022. Marissa has experience working in a partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program and crisis intervention services, providing individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and psychiatric evaluations.

Marissa's area of focus includes those who struggle with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, body image and eating disorders. Marissa is passionate about advocacy, psychoeducation and reducing the mental health stigma. Marissa provides a warm, open-minded and compassionate therapeutic environment to facilitate trust, authenticity and growth.
